Having kids doesn’t mean you have to give up your fitness lifestyle.

I deal with a lot of clients who have kids. It can be hard to find the time to workout plus deal with daily mommy/daddy duties. I get it! I am a mother myself and it did take some time to get use to a routine. Don’t ever let your lifestyle be the reason why you never workout.

Life gets in the way…fitness lifestyle

I hear it all the time well I went to the store today and now I don’t have time to workout. Do you realize it only takes 15 minutes to get a good workout in! My workouts are for parents who don’t have the time to put a dvd in and deal with all that. Or maybe you don’t feel like going to the gym now since your day got interrupted by an errand. Its life and sometimes it does get in the way but you have 15 minutes everyone does! Right before bed while you are watching your tv show.

I want my relaxation time…fitness lifestyle

Parenting is very hard and people without kids will never know. Being tired from all the days work is tough to deal with. But is it tougher then knowing you are not putting your health first? Do you want to live a long healthy life for your kids and yourself? Your “why” has to be very strong to have the motivation to workout. You have to choose what is more important that tv show or your life. I am sure you have heard the saying you will rest when you sleep well that is the case with kids. So why not try to make a little fitness time and relax while working out. Maybe choose to do yoga 2 times a week with your kids. (Kids LOVE Yoga!)

I am on vacation…fitness lifestyle

We all enjoy our family time and don’t want anything to ruin it. It is very hard to put yourself first when you are on vacation. But you have to choose your food wisely and exercise before bed. I get that life gets in the way or you just want to relax on vacation it is okay to take a break from exercise. What is not okay is if your vacation time ruins you and you won’t follow your routine when you get home. The great part about my workout routine is you only need 15 minutes to achieve your exercise goals.

I don’t love working out…fitness lifestyle

I hear this so many times I don’t love fitness! That is fine but ask yourself do you LOVE yourself? If you just answered “yes” then guess what you will begin to love fitness. Once you get out of the slump you are in you will see your body change. It takes 4 weeks for you to start seeing a change in yourself and 8 weeks for others to see the change. Keep pushing and never give up on yourself. When you love working out so will your kids. The best part include them to see how much fun they really have. Soon you will see that you love working out because it is family time!!
