Are you struggling to lose weight? If you are wanting to lose 5 pounds or 70 pounds the principles are still the same! Do you feel like you have tried all the diet plans out there and still getting no where? Are you lacking energy?

If you are looking for a quick fix in losing weight there is nothing out there. You didn’t gain your weight overnight you can’t lose your weight overnight. Are you drinking energy drinks or taking pills? What if I told you that you can lose weight and get energy by what you eat! *You eat to live not live to eat!*

Do you see yourself slowly gaining weight over time? This could mean you are taking in more amount of calories you are burning off in a day. If you are staying at the same weight then this would mean you are taking in the same amount of calories you are boring off in a day. Pay close attention to this by writing down what you eat and the calories. Weight yourself over the weeks time and see where you body weight stands.

If you are like most we all want to achieve weight loss quickly but I will be the first to say this isn’t healthy. You should be losing 1 pound to 3 pounds a week to maintain a healthy weight loss. You need to have an exercise plan in tact for helping the weight loss and toning. Being 50 pounds or more over weight then you will see a greater weight loss with the correct eating. You might see yourself drop 5 pounds one week and the next only 1 pound. Don’t get discouraged this is your body getting use to what you are doing now. After you lose most of your weight and you are at the imaginary wall. You will need to incorporate exercising to help boost your body to lose the remainder weight.

Going extreme with a diet will shock your body and cause more harm than good. Like stated before you cannot lose your weight too fast! Please don’t think starving yourself will be a greater benefit in losing more weight sooner. You will cause your body to think you are starving it which causes all functions of your body to shut down and work only minimally. Be sure to never skip meals! If you are noticing more headaches or mood swings this could be why. You should be eating 3 meals a day and snacks throughout the day. Not sure how much you should be eating I recommend looking into meal prep portion control containers.

Looking for a way to lose weight without it feeling like a diet? Simple here is a list of what you shouldn’t be eating. Remember its – Eat to live not live to eat!

No – processed food, sugar, white bread or pasta, alcohol, & fast food 

Okay so maybe you can’t just quit these right away! Then use the portion control containers to eat these foods and add more exercises to your regimen. By cutting those nasty foods out you are saving your body and the extra workouts you do will go to losing weight. Let’s think of it like this do you want that cheeseburger now and feel miserable later? Or do you want to achieve your weight loss goal and possibly eat that as a cheat meal while loving your body!

Here are a 10 steps that will help you with your weight loss.

1.  You must have a big enough “Why” you want to lose the weight.

2.If you get side tracked don’t be upset it happens! Get right back on your weight loss regimen. 

3.NEVER miss a meal! Use the portion control containers mentioned above. 

4. Don’t allow yourself to be around the food you are weak too. If you can’t help it (you have kids) try to show them eating clean is a healthy choice.

6. Give yourself gifts for reaching goals. Like a new workout outfit! 

7. Make it fun to look for new health recipes. Or ways you can make a recipe healthy!

8. Set goals that are able to be reached. Like I want to lose 5 pounds this month! Let the bigger picture come later. 

9.NEVER NEVER COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHERS! This will be your biggest downfall. Everyone is different we already know that. So never think you will have the success they have in the same time frame. YOU WILL GET THERE!

10. Still want to eat out the great thing is most sit down restaurants have healthy choices now. CHOOSE WISELY!
